Speaking about this unique initiative called Taiwan Excellence, Mario Tsai, Deputy Executive Director of Strategic Marketing Department, TAITRA said, “Taiwan has been supporting the Government of India in various innovative initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India and Skill India. This is the second time that we are participating at Convergence India. Taiwan Excellence initiative was started way back in the year 1993 and all the products and companies showcased here carry a unique stamp of our Research & Development, Design and Quality. So this time, we bring 20 Taiwanese companies with 64 products. Many of these showcased products are focused towards the burgeoning IoT space. By participating in Convergence India 2018, we wished to share our expertise in the field of ICT with other Indian as well as global companies. We look forward to working closely with many Indian companies and together realize great opportunities,” he explained.

Wen-Lu Ni, General Manager, AIFA, said, “We have been doing the universal remote for many years now. We think that IoT will play a major role in this technology. We are putting lot of innovation in our ability to design the MICOM on the remote and wifi remote control box. Everybody has smartphones today and with our technology, they can control home appliances, such as AC, TV, satellite receiver etc with the help of smartphone only.
